Met this really cool actor Tristin Spirit, who is an actor from Harlem. He reminds me a bit of an actor who I used to work with, whom was a street performer from the same place: T. Berry. He worked on a few of my films while in film school and we have since lost touch.
On Thursday, I shot some interesting footage with Tristan, Kelly Karavites and Bonnie Schinagle. This was a mock documentary which focused on why the milita members were forming to take back the country by force. This is a big part of the film as far as background of the film and right now we're continuously shooting (going against the change from late winter to Spring which is nearly now in full swing) and getting as much shot as we can by mid-May 2009. The documentary part is similiar to a scene in "Loss of Hope" where Chris Margaritis plays a character who is in Vietnam and is being questioned by a documentary filmmaker about his reaction to the war he is in.
Friday, we shot scenes with Kelly mostly and a few shots with Chris. We were rained out, by 4:30 PM so we were unable to shoot this big monologue scene which is heard throughout the film as we show flashbacks.
Unwinded at night and went to see "The Machine", a Pink Floyd Tribute Band in New York City. A really awesome bunch of musicians. I never saw Pink Floyd live and am a big fan, so hearing their music played live with such emotion and accuracy was a big treat.
Shooting again Tuesday and getting a lot of scenes done then, hopefully the monologue / ending scene as well which is a cool little twist ending that has to do with RFID Chipping.
